7 July 2010 Shortcuts
Having inherited a new garden, I have been looking with sinking heart at
the patch of grass which is fast becoming a burnt square. Having
watched successive members of my family maintain lucious lawns I know
how much work is involved and looms ahead. Just for a moment I felt I
could be tempted by a shortcut, by an all year round evergreen grass
albeit artificial, but I know for me the end result would not satisfy.
There are so many shortcuts we take in this world for all sorts of things, we are so time limited we have no choice but to cut corners, some things cannot be a quick fix however. Relationships need time and effort to get right and we shortcut them at out peril. If we want a relationship with God too we need to take the time just like my lawn it might be hard, it might seem a struggle at times but when we look out at the results there is no question that it has been worth it.

Good post! thank you
