This morning I received a parking fine, sort of deserved and sort of not,for I do have a permit to park in the said parking spot, but I didn't have it on display....so unless the law enforcement officer was a mind reader there is no way he could have known.

 

There is of course no point in having a permit if it is not on display, and I realised, no point in following Christ if we do not  act upon it. It isn't easy to take a stand and go against the flow of this world, but if we don't how will anyone  know, and unlike a parking fine, there may not be a chance to appeal. In Galatians, Paul describes the difference in those who bear the fruits of the Spirit.

 

 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,faithfulness, gentlenessand self-control" Galatians 5 vs 22-23
