Ephesians 6 vs 14

"Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place..."

Righteousness seems to me a very old fashioned word, but living the right way is still important. Although our ideas on this might be different from person to person, most of us know when we have got it right and more importantly when we haven't.

 

Feeling comfortable that we are doing things right is a protection of sorts I think, when others critisise or discourage there is strength to be had in knowing that whatever they say I believe I have done the right thing.It shouldn't make me smug or believe myself better than others, but just to believe that in God's eyes I am on the right track gives a courage and strength to stand up tall in this world.
