28 May 2010 Well Watered

Yesterday I had the pleasure of going to spend the day at the Chelsea Flower Show. I had a fabulous day there enjoying the creativity and the colour schemes but also the camaraderie of thousands of happy people enjoying a day out. Wherever they came from and whatever lives had been left behind for the day, there was joy and hope and it infected everyone.

When I look out this morning at my parched square of something that once was grass, in my head I am imagining what might be and I was drawn to these words from Jeremiah as he describes a hope filled vision for Israel

"They will be like a well-watered garden, and they will sorrow no more." Jeremiah 31 vs 12

Wherever we are right now, whether our lives are well watered or parched, it is good to remember God's promises and dwell in the hope of a bright future, and who knows our joy and hope may well have an effect on those around us.

Having a break next week , thought for the day will return 7 May 2010
