I have just been watching the film Bruce Almighty and for me the bit which always stands out is the very end of the film where he rallies people to the call "Be the miracle"

 

In other words don't complain that miracles don't happen go out and create some miracles in people's lives. Despite the Hollywood sentiment there is some simple truth in that idea. When I think of the amount of times I have failed to do something because I was so caught up in my own concerns and wishes, perhaps I could have made a difference in lots of small ways to those around me.

 

For that  we have to be  aware,  we have to lift our heads from our own small furrow and look around us at those who need our help. We ask God for so many things, maybe he wants to use us to answer the prayers of others.
