18 May 2010 Thanks
So you plan the meal, buy the necessary ingredients put the meal
together serve the meal watch the meal being enjoyed and how does it
feel after all this if no-one says thanks. My family are pretty good at
remembering to say thanks but just occasionally they get distracted and
forget, and boy does that make me mad.
So I was thinking today how God must feel when we forget to say thanks, the lilac bush that is bursting with blossom and filling the air with its heady scent, as I enjoy do I say thanks? The blackbird sitting on the fence singing a song that lifts my spirits do I say thanks? The food I have enjoyed and the people who enrich my life do I say thanks?
The truth is like most people I am much too busy getting on with other things, but shame on me , for thanks acknowledges that I have seen it, that I have enjoyed these gifts and that I give God the glory.
