12 May 2010 Loaves and Fishes

I am glad its not me about to take over the running of the country, our out of control national debt, our need for cut backs, Afghanistan  all these huge and insurmountable problems, and only one Prime Minister and a cabinet to come up with the answers.Who would have their job?

Sometimes our own lives can seem like that, albeit on a smaller scale, problems with debt, with relationships,  loads of work or lack of work, and we can only offer ourselves to make a difference. I read in a inspirational thought this week, a question which said "what loaves and fishes will you offer this week?', and it got me thinking.

There was Jesus with five thousand hungry people and a tiny amount of loaves and fishes to meet their needs, yet God uses what is there and works a miracle. Whatever we have to offer today, it will never be enough, unless we ask for help, then we can let God work his miracle and use whatever we have to offer, and in ways that I cannot explain, it will be enough.
