Wednesday morning is magazine morning in our house where I take my youngest daughter to the supermarket before school and she buys her magazine. This week was no different but when we got back in the car and unwrapped the free gift she said the magic words, " It looked much bigger in the picture"

Well doesn't it always! How many times have you been taken in by an advert for something or other only to find the reality pretty disappointing, because it always looks much bigger in the picture.

 

There is much in this world that is disappointing , the holiday of a lifetime that isn't, the non iron shirts which always need ironing (is it just me that thinks that?) the wrinkle remover which doesn't.....

 

Throughout the bible however God makes promises, to be faithful to us always ,whether or not we are faithful to him, and  he keeps that promise, he remains faithful to  David despite infidelity and murder, he remains faithful to Abraham when he wanders into Egypt, he remains faithful to Peter when he denies ever knowing Jesus and throughout my life he has remained faithful to me. He doesn't disappoint or even  just do what it says on the tin, God always exceeds our expectations.
