Today I stepped outside with my sketchbook to try and draw what seemed
like a really messy corner of a field. There were tree stumps covered
with ivy, ground ivy everywhere, brambles and a mess of grass and dead
leaves. As I looked and kept looking however I began to distinguish so
many shapes and textures, and then to see so many shades of colour. By
the time I had finished I was left marvelling again at God's
creation,at its complexity and beauty.
Tonight I came across this verse in Romans
"Ever since God created the world, his invisible qualities, both his eternal power and his divine nature, have been clearly seen; they are perceived in the things that God has made." Romans 1 vs 20
Someone asked me today whether I saw God as male or female and how I pictured him, but for me that doesn't really matter at all, for I see him in the things he has made. Their beauty, for us to enjoy is all I need to know God is with us.
