There is an advert just now for landlines, where the mother checks before she speaks to her son that he is actually concentrating on speaking to her. It definitely strikes a chord, I know I have spoken on the phone to someone while checking my emails at the same time, and the stupid thing is that I hate when someone does it to me, because you can always tell.

 

It made me consider whether I concentrate on my time with God enough, or whether I am praying but thinking on several other things at the same time.I fear the latter is true, God of course will know this but the loser in this case is me, for by not listening to him by not clearing my mind to hear his word, I am the one missing out. Surely my day can't be that busy that I cannot devote one part of it to him.
