16 November 2009 Christ's Eyes
This weekend I came across the thought , "What difference would it make if we saw the world through the eyes of Christ?"
It has certainly given me something to think about, for over past few weeks I have definately viewed the world from a rather poor perspective. The family has all been ill, and I have felt tired and to be honest a bit sorry for myself ,so my perspective has been from a rather gloomy angle.
Now if I had seen my week through Christ's eyes, then it changes everything. I might have seen others around me who needed my help and care, I might have given thanks for each day and given praise for its blessings. I might not have been worried or anxious ,trusting God to take care of it, and altogether my outlook might have been joyful and hopeful rather than gloomy and dark and self pitying.
So maybe it is worth just taking a few minutes at the start of each day and seeing the world with new eyes, Christ's eyes, it changes everything.
"You must shine among them as stars lighting up the sky, as you offer them the message of life."
