In conversation today, I heard the phrase "Some things are richer than money" and it kept coming to mind all day. It came to mind when I looked over the fields in the early evening golden light and was silenced by the sheer beauty God has surrounded us with. It came to mind when my daughter flung her arms round me after school. It came to mind when I read again the words of of the Psalmist.
"The Lord will guard you;
he is by your side to protect you.
The sun will not hurt you by day nor the moon by night."
Psalm 121


Jesus reminds us of the foolish man who spent his time gathering his wealth and amassing his fortune, yet who died that very nightspiritually poor.

"And Jesus concluded,"This is how it is with those who pile up riches for themselves but are not rich in God's sight.""
