3 September 2009 Noah 2
The second part of Noah's story which left me wondering was whathappened to Noah after the events of the flood. We are told thatafterwards he lived for 350 years and judging by his drunken state inGenesis 9 vs 21 not all of it was faultless.
Whenever we read this story with the children we leave it at the pointwhere he settles back on land and he remains an unblemished hero.
But as we all know life is not that simple, and for most of us we mighthave our high points, but we certainly also have our lows. I think Godknows us in all our states and loves us regardless.True we are lesslikely to fall by the wayside when we take the time to listen to himand obey his wishes ,but for all of us who do fall by the wayside fromtime to time, who follow our own path, our own agenda and end upregretting it isn't it comforting to know we are still men and women ofGod, beloved and cared for.
" For God loved the world so much that he sent his only son,so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life."
John 3 vs 16
