1 September 09 Greener Grass
One evening during my holiday ,I stood watching the sun set over the
marshes of South Carolina feeling the sun on my face and listening to
the cry of the heron, I found it hard to imagine anywhere more
beautiful. As I stood, a lady walking her dog stopped for a chat, it
transpired that she lived there and I was commenting on how lucky she
was , when, recognising my accent she said "I'd rather live where you
do."
Isn't it so true that the grass is always greener, I think it was Max Lucado who wrote "What is it about humanity which makes us long for what we do not have and miss what we have."
God grants us this day ,wherever we are, whatever circumstances, lets not miss what we have been given.
"I have learnt this secret,so that anywhere,at any time I am content, whether I am full or hungry, whether I have too much or too little.I have the strength to face all conditions by the power that Christ gives me." Phillipians 4 vs 12-13
