Sometimes we can find ourselves in difficult situations and facingproblems that were never our intention. This morning I received a call from a friend of mine, who very reluctantly is having to seek legalhelp for a situation not of her making, and that she would never have chosen to be in. I was thinking how unfair life can be and  for amoment I had a picture of Jesus standing trial, I wondered if he ever felt that sense of unfairness, to be treated so badly when all heattempted to do was spread a message of love.

This world is far from perfect , because as humans we are far fromperfect and so yes at times life is unfair.All we can do is our bit to change things, to act honourably in the face of dishonour, to act kindly in the face of unkindness, and to act with love even in the faceof hatred, for isn't that what Jesus was teaching in his sermon on the mount. It may not make our situation any better but we can be sure thatGod knows and loves us for it.

"Blessed are you when people insult you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great isyour reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets before you."
