27 July 2009 Caravans

On Saturday I drove from Scotland to Essex on the A66, for those who have never driven on the A66 it is  a single carriageway opening to dual carriageway for short bursts and so when the road widens, one attempts to overtake as many caravans as possible, in order to be first in the line as it narrows again. However having maneuvered like this for many miles I realised an important truth, there will always be another caravan!

It started me thinking that we can see the same behaviour in our lives,we race on and tell ourselves all will be well when I get that promotion, or move to this new house, or once this crisis is past, but the truth is once we get past that there will always be another obstacle.

How much more will we get out of life if we enjoy the here and now, live in the moment even if it is a difficult moment.
