Do you ever wish that God would let you have a big sign, to prove beyond all possible doubt that he is there. I was reminded of a great quote by Woody Allen recently
"If only God would give me some clear sign!Like making a large deposit in my name at a Swiss bank."

There are however signs along the way if we take the time to notice, maybe not large deposits in Swiss Banks, but I am thinking particularly of the night before I left America. It was a difficult time, there had been lots of emotional goodbyes and we were not sure if it would all work out. In the car park, just at the end of the night I was introduced to the new pastor who was just about to begin his ministry in the church we were leaving and we had a brief chat. He mentioned that he had spent some time in England , studying in Cambridge and that the church had an exchange programme between Atlanta and one of the Cambridge colleges.

What he didn't know was that we were moving  close to Cambridge and the it seemed to me against the odds that these two places should suddenly have a connection.  I  felt that God had a hand in things, and a feeling of peace that somehow this link was important and part of God's plan.Who knows how it will all work out but that night I felt God was holding my hand and giving me a sign.
