14 May 2009 Let be

God's presence with us does not depend on whether we feel strong in our faith or are having moments of doubt. At present we are waiting to try and sell our house in Scotland so that we can buy a house and settle in Essex but it is not happening. As with so many others we have to wait and I was reminded today that perhaps rather than fret I should leave it in God's hands and wait upon his timing.

The psalmist reminds us that wherever we are in our faith, however much we are prepared to trust, he will never leave us and in that we can rest.

"The Lord will guard you,
he is by your side to protect you,
the sun will not hurt you by day nor the moon by night.

The Lord will protect you from danger, he will keep you safe.
He will protect you as you come and go now and forever."
Psalm 12 vs 3-6
