12 May 2009 Exams

This week many teenagers and students begin their exams, and doesn't it just take you shuddering back to that time, the pain of studying in nice weather when there were so many other interesting things to do, the nerves of what questions would be asked and what if I haven't revised them, and the pressure to do well, the sense that the rest of our lives depend on what happens in that exam room.

They deserve lots of encouragement and appreciation of what they are going through. We are not always respectful or supportive to our youth in general, in fact our media quite often likes to demonise them
1Timothy 4 reminds us "You are young but do not let anyone treat you as if you were not important"

Max Lucado writes a devotional on these verses which may be of some help.
"Don't give up, look up.Believe. Be bold because of God's promises, he never fails.Thats what makes God, God."

Thoughts and prayers to everyone sitting exams.
