Thought For The Week

On Saturday I took my children to see "Return to Witch Mountain" a Disney movie about aliens who come to earth, much of the plot was trying to convince bitter sceptics that they were aliens and it took several demonstrations of special powers to prove that there may be more in this galaxy than what we can see and touch.

Easter Sunday is like that for some people, because we cannot explain the resurrection in hard science or fact they cannot believe it. "Where is the evidence?" they want to know. I said at the start of the week that there was no absolute proof.Certainly not enough for some, but I have evidence in my life of miracles and answers to prayer that do not happen by accident.
Our stories are proof that Christ rose from the grave and remains with us. I came to faith in tiny steps realising that when I trusted God for something he never let me down, when I was faced with impossible situations, he somehow made the impossible happen and gradually I learned to trust more and more.
So whenever I have doubts, I  look back at God's promises kept through the ages, Old Testament stories which  show God at work from generation to generation working his miracles right up to  this day , this life, this world. We don't have to make it through this world on our own, Thank God he is risen and remains right there with us.

"And I will be with you always, even unto the ends of the earth." Matthew 28 vs 20
